Our wish came true.... Snow in Ellicottville for 2016

Warm winters are a ski resorts worst scenario. Welcome the El Nino for 2016! Thankfully the cold weather has come and the western New York ski resorts are making snow daily. Holiday Valley, HoliMont and Kissingbridge have been making snow when it has been cold enough and have a pretty good base on a number of slopes. Each resort is adding new lifts and trails daily, so check back to their websites to see what is available before your schedule your ski trip this year!

As of January 14, 2016, the following ski runs and lifts are open at the resorts:

The Rail Park and Fiddler's Terrain park are open. NASTAR Recreational Racing season starts on Thursday. Tubing Park also opens on Thursday at 4:30. Try out the Kicksleds at Tamarack, $10 per hour., it's a great family after skiing activity.

Kissing Bridge Snow Report:
Good News! The snow guns have been blasting away and Mother Nature is helping out with all this beautiful lake effect snow! It’s like being in a snow globe with the snow on and off all week and still going! Our Central Area will have Holly, Twister, Coal Chute, Candy Cane (beginner hill) and the Mini Terrain Park open all freshly groomed.  Our Snow Magicians are working vigorously as the temperatures have dropped this week and the magic is continuing on Twister, Coal Chute and various other slopes and over to the North Area. And plans to open our South Area tomorrow!!

Make sure you make it out here Saturday January 16th for our Beach Party in the Lake Effect Saloon, with BLACK WIDOW here to rock the place out from 8pm-12 MIDNIGHT!
