2017 Sprague Brook Scramble Snowshoe Race

The 2017 Sprague Brook Scramble Snowshoe Race is on deck!

First timer or seasoned expert all it takes is a pair of snowshoes and you're in! Choose from the 1-lap or 2-lap distances in a 2.5 or 5-mile event distance. The course consists of the Parks XC ski trails which are rolled prior & after so skiing can resume but at 10am on race-day it's all about snowshoeing.
Entrants line up near the lot and proceed around the course for awards and bragging rights during the annual scramble. Gear for Adventure in Hamburg will be on-hand to assist with rentals or check in with them prior if you're looking to try it out. Stay tuned if a post-ponement is needed due to snow conditions but this is the Snow Belt and that is rarely an issue.

Registration and # pickup from 9am at the XC ski warming hut to the right as you pull in the park. 10am race start. Post-race awards & door prizes.

New to snowshoeing and want to give it a whirl? Check out the scarmble! It's a heart-pounding experience and a thrill of an effort to complete.

In July and August, the Gazebo Series has free live music at the towh Gazebo on Thursday nights. In July, the Summer Festvial of the Arts has headline bands (2016 TO Be Determined), and a dozen other bands performing throughout the weekend.
